Same characteristics as Lilee Anne’s Jewel except no variegation of leaves. Sometimes, variegated trees can lose their variegation and revert to the original leaf color, as is the case with this tree. In spring, this reverted Lilee Anne’s Jewel emerges with red and pink on the leaves. As summer progresses, this reverted Lilee Anne’s leaves turn to a nice burgundy. This tree has retained the almost laceleaf shape of the Like several of the variegates, Lilee Anne’s Jewel has leaves that curl like a sickle. Very similar if not the same as Acer palmatum Rainbow. Lilee Anne grows into a small upright pendulous tree to about 8-10′ in about 10 years. Hardy to -10F. Morning sun, afternoon shade is best in hot climates.
