Beni Otake

Beni otake is an attractive, upright, Acer palmatum cultivar with long linear leaves, much like bamboo. Beni otake has deep red-purple foliage which is outstanding in the spring…bold and vibrant. This color will hold nicely throughout the summer. Fall color is a bright crimson. This plant is hardy and will grow to 12-15 feet or more in ideal conditions. Sun/part shade. Beni otake means “red bamboo” in Japanese.
