Autumn Moon

Acer shirasawanum Autumn Moon has spring foliage which is an unusual pink orange color with an underlying shade of chartruese green. In the sumer, Autumn moon will color up nicely in full sun with a wonderful orange; in the shade, leaves will be more yellow-green. Fall color is a rich orange and red. Like the Full Moon Maple, Autumn moon is a very showy maple – it is one of our favorites. Autumn moon is more hardy and vigorous than the Full Moon Maple A. s. ‘Aureum’. This small tree seems to tolerate heat well. Tree reaches 10-12 feet in 10 years. Sun /part shade.
